& Down the Tree Goes...

As you know from Day 1, our poor Noah was injured.  After being inside since that time, and meowing non stop for hours and hours AND hours, we finally let him out.  We were afraid to do it, but he was climbing the walls, ripping the house apart.  We were reassured by his ability to jump onto and climb the blinds, that his leg was okay.  We were confident that he had learned his lesson and would stay close to home.  Boy were we wrong.  At about 2:00 AM this morning we found him sleeping in the patio chair, after being in another fight.  I don't think its a dog anymore, I think its another cat.  I can't believe he went right back to where he got hurt the first time!  He is okay, but much more injured than he was before.  Three of his legs have spots on them, with one of his back legs being the worst.  He is limping a little...  I feel guilty for letting him out in the first place...  He has been babied today, and fed lots off chicken.  He has slept most of the day.  But to my amazement, he still limped to the door this evening and meowed numerous times to be let outside.  I believe this cat is crazy.  He can barely move around right now and is so sore, yet he wants back outside.  Needless to say, he will be inside at least until he has made a full recovery, if not longer.

Today we started taking our Chirstmas decorations down.  I love Christmas, and anyone who knows me realizes this obsession, but I must admit, it is nice to have our living room back to normal.  This was our first Christmas in our new house with our 12 foot tree.  So let's stop to take a stroll down memory lane...

At first the cats thought this was a big game.  Michael climbing up on the ladder, tossing down strands of lights, ornaments, and limbs down to me.

They soon realized that their sparkly indoor tree that magically appeared was being taken away.  They protested by hiding under the final few limbs.  When all was said and done, and the living room was back to normal, a plant replaced where the tree stood, and they took out their extreme anger on each other, hiding behind the plant until the other crossed and then attacking.

All the lights off of our huge tree:

We have one more tree to take down, but that can wait until tomorrow!

It ended up being another beautiful sunny day, so I took advantage of the opportunity and grabbed a quick sun photo!

This post ended up being quite long...but that's okay, because here is what is waiting on me.
